Training Program
Youth Training in Elderly Care
Beehive Plus has put together a warm and practical 6-week training program for SHS graduates in Ghana who want to support and care for older adults. The course helps you build real skills for providing daily assistance, offering emotional support and treating the elderly with dignity and respect. It also strengthens your confidence in home support, social skills and overall capacity building as a young caregiver.
What You Will Learn
- How ageing affects people physically, mentally and socially
- Helping with everyday activities like movement, hygiene and nutrition
- Basic first aid and safety tips
- How to communicate well and offer emotional support
- Professional ethics and how to take care of yourself as a caregiver
- Practical home support skills
- Strong social skills for working with people
- Capacity-building to prepare you for opportunities in the care field
Requirement: Basic entry SHS and above
Duration and Cost
- Training Duration: 6 weeks
- Course Fee: 1,500 GHC
- Application Form Fee: 50 GHC
Application and Selection Process
Application Submission
Interested candidates can obtain and submit the application form for 50 GHC.Application Review
Submissions are reviewed by the admissions team to ensure applicants meet the basic requirements.Interview
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview to assess readiness, motivation, and suitability for the caregiving profession.Enrollment
Successful applicants will receive confirmation and instructions for joining the next training session.
Certification and Opportunities
Upon completing the program, trainees will receive a certificate in Elderly Care and Support. Graduates may be considered for possible placement opportunities, which may include:

NGOs and social care projects
Placement is based on performance, professionalism, and available partner opportunities.
